that canned tomatoes are one of the worst offenders. The high acidity of tomatoes causes more of the BPA of the lining to leach into the food. Choose tomato products in glass jars instead.
While Environmental Defence believes that BPA doesn’t belong in cans at all, avoiding buying products contaminated with the substance is the best thing to do until it’s off the shelves completely.
