About The Submission:
This joint letter, signed by 28 organizations, urges the federal government to focus its hydrogen strategy on renewable hydrogen, instead of fossil fuel-derived hydrogen. The oil and gas sector is pushing for governments to invest in fossil fuel derived hydrogen as a way to search for a new market for their products as the world transitions away from fossil fuels. We urge the Minister of Natural Resources to focus instead on building a hydrogen strategy that is truly sustainable and builds on Canada’s renewable energy advantages.
