Kritika Kukreja

Development Manager

Kritika’s fondest childhood memories are of picking mulberries, collecting sweet rainwater, and traveling to the Himalayas in her home country, India. Back then, New Delhi hadn’t yet become one of the world’s most polluted cities – something that worsened as she began her career as a storyteller in Communications. After shaping narrative solutions for consumer technology giants, she took a leap during the Covid-19 pandemic, interning at a government think tank where she assisted the Social Justice & Empowerment Division on policies for the voluntary sector and migrant labor.

This experience inspired her to pursue a master’s in Public Policy at the University of British Columbia, where she conducted analyses on a variety of topics including air quality indices, ESG reporting, small modular nuclear reactors, and the impacts of extreme weather events on BC’s reserve land communities. In her roles with the BC Government Climate Action Secretariat and Technical Safety BC, she collaborated with cross-functional departments on significant environmental and climate action projects, which contributed to her completion of majors in Resources, Energy, and Sustainability.

Outside her commitment to a healthy environment, Kritika enjoys unwinding by experimenting with new recipes and practicing hatha yoga in her free time.
