Our Staff

Kawthar’s passion for community and nature drives her environmental activism and leadership. Determined to be a part of creating positive change, she pursued a Master’s degree in Environmental Science at the University of Toledo. However, after recognizing the need for urgent environmental action in the world, Kawthar diverted from academia and dedicated herself fully to environmental and social issues. Throughout her career, Kawthar has worked on initiatives empowering communities, including projects on water quality, waste management, and integrated water resource management. She has recently completed a project management certificate from Georgian College and is eager to contribute her passion and expertise to foster meaningful change. On her “off” time, you’ll find Kawthar spending time with her family and friends, learning a new craft, exploring books and podcasts, or simply being lost in nature.
