About The Report:
Cement manufacturing is a very emissions-intensive process. If Ontario is to get on track to meet the province’s greenhouse gas reduction targets, it will be necessary to reduce emissions across industry, including in the cement sector.
This white paper explores one way Ontario’s cement sector can reduce their carbon emissions: by replacing coal used in their operations with alternative, lower carbon fuels that would otherwise be destined for landfills.
