About the submission:
This sign on letter, signed by 67 civil society organizations and 107 academics, calls on the federal government to immediately reject proposed tax changes that will provide new federal financial support for increasing fossil fuel production. The letter urges the federal government to not create new fossil fuel subsidies and instead prioritize public funding that supports renewable energy, emissions reductions and other measures that can accelerate Canada’s clean energy transition.
