About The Submission:
Together with Shift: Action for Pension Wealth and Planet Health and EcoJustice, this submission shares our expertise and interest in reducing the risks of climate change through law and policy—including the impacts of climate change on the financial sector as well as the impacts of the financial sector in exacerbating or addressing climate change. We do not see these risks as separable, as over the long-term, financial institutions that exacerbate climate change also increase the financial risks of climate change. We encourage OSFI to create mandatory and prescriptive rules for climate risk assessment, disclosure, and management for FRPPs and FRFIs.
