Environmental Defence is a leading Canadian advocacy organization that works with government, industry and individuals to defend clean water, a safe climate and healthy communities.
We extend our respect to all Indigenous Peoples for their valuable past and present contributions to this land. We acknowledge the waters, air, lands and resources that continue to create safe space for our gatherings, our workplaces and homes. And, we recognize and respect the importance of Indigenous leadership in protecting and stewarding the land.
Toronto Office
We acknowledge the traditional and treaty lands and territories of the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishinaabeg, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat people on whose territory we live and work. This territory is covered by the Upper Canada Treaties, and is within the lands protected by the "Dish With One Spoon" wampum agreement.

We acknowledge that the land on which we work and live is the traditional unceded territory of the Algonquin Anishinaabeg People.
