Plastic pollution is involves the accumulation of plastic products in the environment. It affects lands, waterways and oceans. Based on recent calculation 5 to 13 million metric tons of plastic made it to our oceans that year, and most of that waste came from people who live slightly over 30 miles away from the coast. The marine life in the ocean are very much affected by this because they can get entangled, mistake the plastic for food or the chemicals that the plastic carries can hurt their biological functions To stop this issue I feel that we should recycle all plastic bottles, try to bring your own shopping bags when going grocery shopping and stop buying face products with microbeads in them.
