Our Staff

Alessia’s interest in grassroots activism began while working with the Rescue Lake Simcoe Coalition to strengthen engagement with local stakeholders and grew through her environmental stewardship work with conservation groups. Alessia has an Honours Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability and a Master’s degree in Environmental Studies. Her academic research focused on the role of Local Ecological Knowledge and connections to nature in fostering sustainable socio-ecological systems. In her spare time, Alessia enjoys spending time with her dog Maggie, re-watching Parks and Recreation, or practicing yoga. She is grateful to be a part of such an accomplished team that is working hard to fight the climate crisis.
