About The Backgrounder:
Lobbyists for some of Canada’s biggest, most-polluting fossil fuel companies also lobby on behalf of clients for whom confronting the climate crisis is a top priority. This report spotlights two lobbying firms in Canada with significant conflicts of interest across their client base: Crestview Strategies and StrategyCorp. The report makes recommendations to improve lobbying regulations to be more transparent, fair, and better able to maintain government integrity. The research was done by our partners at F Minus, using the Canadian Lobby Registry, and the report authored in collaboration with re.generation and Environmental Defence Canada.
