Tell Your MPP You Want Affordable and Clean Energy

Enbridge gas has begun a ruthless fight against the province’s independent energy regulator, the Ontario Energy Board (OEB) to protect Ontario homeowners from subsidizing gas hookups for new homes and opening the door for more heat pumps instead of gas furnaces. The OEB has stood up for Ontarians by ruling that connection costs should be the burden of developers, not residents.

Call your MPP to tell them that if the Government of Ontario supports Enbridge, it will be at the cost of gas users in order to subsidize gas hookups for new homes, and cost new home owners more by tilting the scales towards gas furnaces over heat pumps, which are more expensive to operate.
