Statement By Tim Gray, Executive Director

Toronto | Traditional territories of the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishinaabeg, the Haudenosaunee, and the Wendat – Tim Gray will be available to provide insight and expert analysis from the Environmental Defence team on the release of Ontario’s 2026 Provincial Budget, which is set to be unveiled tomorrow, March 26th. In addition to a planned press statement pertaining to the budget, Environmental Defence will be able to comment on issues relating to the environment, housing, energy, and transportation.

“The provincial budget provides a key opportunity for the Ontario Government to show its commitment to protecting Ontario’s lands and waters, building more housing in our towns and cities and moving forward with an urgently-needed transition to cleaner sources of energy. We will be looking to see how the government’s planned expenditures in 2026-27 align with these goals”
