Change begins with us. In a world drowning in plastic, it is easy to distance ourselves from the impacts increased plastic has had on the environment. Plastic pollution is leading to an inevitable change of climate across the globe, destroying the lives of millions. Yet, if we simply look past the plastic that surrounds us, we can clearly see the effects of plastic waste in our world today. It’s time for us, as a people, to change our lifestyles. If we want a change in society, we must advocate for environmental sustainability and push our governments to take a strong stance against excess plastic. If we want to save our world, we must open our eyes.
