Quebec City – Environmental Defence spokesperson Dale Marshall is in Quebec City and available for interviews about today’s Premiers’ meeting.
Canadian premiers are meeting today for a one-day summit on climate change to attempt to make progress at the provincial level on climate change, and set up the provinces to agree to a national energy strategy later in 2015. With the U.N. climate summit in Paris later this year and the federal government absent on climate change issues, provincial discussions are critical to Canada’s efforts to reduce carbon pollution in the near term.
