Toronto, ON—UC Berkeley Professor Dr. Tyrone Hayes will be in Toronto on Monday to speak about his experience researching endocrine-disrupting chemicals, the challenges he faced when he tried to share his findings, and how this relates to current debates surrounding the relationship between science and industry.
With cancer being one of the leading causes of death in Canada, there is more and more evidence linking environmental factors, such as toxic chemicals in consumer products, and the disease. Ever-increasing research is drawing attention to the need for more protection from exposure to carcinogens in people’s daily lives.
