Toronto, ON – The Ontario Greenbelt Alliance will be on hand Tuesday when Ontario government officials will make an important announcement about Ontario’s Greenbelt.
Ontario’s Greenbelt spans 1.8 million acres and runs through one of the most populated parts of Canada. The world-renowned Greenbelt protects green space, farmland and local food sources, rivers, streams and environmentally-sensitive areas from sprawl. These areas are home to wildlife and provide recreation, clean drinking water and green space for millions of Ontarians.

Several municipalities in the Greater Toronto Area have said they would like to help grow the Greenbelt.
