Initiated by Environmental Defence, the organization that has drawn attention to get bisphenol A (BPA) and other toxic substances out of Canadian consumer products, created a mural of toxic makeup live at U of T to raise awareness about toxins in personal care products. The installation consisted of 12′ x 12′ canvas artwork and members of Environmental Defence were asking people if they knew what was in their makeup. Passersby were prompted to sign, in lipstick, the canvas as a show of support for a petition calling upon the cosmetics industry to remove toxic chemicals from personal care products.[]=450069
