“Peter Kidsbridge” Introduces Penelope vs. Donald Provincial Election Debate: Eight-Year-Old Penelope Challenges Parties to Interviews on Red Carpet Before Leaders Debate This Evening
Toronto, ON – A possible preview of the leaders’ debate was released by the Penelope4Ontario.ca campaign today. The video features a balding young “Peter Kidsbridge” reporting on a debate between Penelope, who has been touring Ontario to inject environmental issues into the provincial election, versus Donald, who issued an attack ad against Penelope last week, ending with the tagline “future schmuture.”

“I’m glad Donald and I already got to debate the important issues that Ontario faces, because the leaders’ debate goes way past my bedtime,” said Penelope. “I just hope that the real leaders do as well as I did defending Ontario’s environment in tonight’s debate.”
Penelope and her entourage will be appearing on a red carpet outside of the leaders’ debate this evening at 5:30PM, complete with a ‘limousine’ arrival, bodyguard, and placards. She will give a short pre-debate speech and has then challenged the parties to send representatives to talk to her on camera about their environmental platforms and their favourite ice cream flavours.
Penelope will be at the Toronto Broadcast Centre, 250 Front ST West – red carpet at front doors – at 5:30PM this evening.
The campaign website, Penelope4Ontario.ca, features Penelope’s campaign video, documenting her tour of Ontario. It also features a report card of parties’ environmental commitments. Site visitors can pledge their votes for the environment, because “you can’t really vote for a kid, but you can vote for her future.” Penelope’s tour across Ontario continues this week where she will be making speaking appearances, meeting the public, and handing out campaign buttons.
