Where do the parties stand on the environment in this election?
Four prominent environmental groups survey federal parties — results to be released April 18th
Toronto, ON — According to Leger Marketing, seven out of 10 Canadians view the environment as an important issue that will influence their vote in the upcoming federal election.
Four leading environmental groups – the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society (CPAWS), Environmental Defence, Equiterre and the Pembina Institute – have sent a survey to the five federal political parties on 10 environmental issues that matter to Canadians. The survey asks each party questions about what they will do to protect nature, fight global warming, reduce pollution and stimulate green energy development if they are elected.
The groups will be releasing the results to the media on April 18th. The Leger Marketing poll is also available upon request.
