The petition signed by thousands of visitors to the Toxic Nation web site hit the Environment Minister’s desk today. 4,486 signatures, to be exact!
Environmental Defence delivered the petition to federal Environment Minister John Baird, and let the media know about it.

The petition calls on the federal government to strengthen Canada’s national pollution law, called the Canadian Environmental Protection Act. It’s the law that regulates toxic chemicals across Canada.

Thanks to the thousands of Canadians who signed the Toxic Nation petition.  It makes a strong case to the federal government to better protect Canadians’ health from harmful chemicals.

Now, you can help us ban a toxic chemical called Bisphenol A. Read more about the chemical, and sign our online petition to ban it.

Thanks for your support!

Cheers,
Jennifer
