Well shucks! It's that time again! Time for friendly competition, delicious food and, tasty drinks, all in support of Environmental Defence.
Join us this Sunday, July 15th, from 2pm – 10pm, for the 24th annual Ontario Oyster Festival.
Rodney's Oyster House is once again pulling out all the stops to host the 2012 Ontario Oyster Shucking Championship and fundraiser to benefit Environmental Defence. This festival has been raising funds for Environmental Defence for more than two decades and, in that time, has raised over $100,000 to protect the environment and human health.
The theme for this year's festival could be the last… taking a cue from the Mayan prediction that the world could end in 2012, it's Oyster Apocalypse!
The festival features live music from The Waxbills and Horshack, oyster eating, free Ping-Pong courtesy of Spin, delicious beer and wine and, the 2012 Ontario Oyster Opening Championships (with the winner getting a trip to PEI!).
So come on down, bring your friends, and enjoy a fun Sunday in support of Environmental Defence.
