Swimming may seem like the obvious thing to do at the beach, but do you need convincing to take the plunge? If you are concerned about water quality, than a Blue Flag beach is the place for you! To be awarded the Blue Flag, beaches must meet national and provincial water quality standards at least 80% the time – and Canada’s standards are among the strictest in the world. Sure, other beaches have their water tested, but they give no indication of how consistent their water quality is.
