Wine Bluff

On Thursday, June 23rd, 350 guests gathered at the Fermenting Cellar in Toronto's Distillery District for the first annual Wine Bluff.

Hosted by award-winning comedian Sean Cullen, the Wine Bluff was a fun night of Ontario wine, local food, auctions and more to raise funds for Environmental Defence.

Thanks to our fabulous guests, our wonderful volunteers and our generous sponsors, over $160,000 was raised for Environmental Defence.

What the heck is a wine bluff?
Sean was joined onstage by a panel of witty expert tasters: chef Brad Long, wine comedian Sandi Marques, and chef Geoffrey Johnson. For each wine we tasted, the panel members each gave a description. However, two panelists were bluffing, while one was telling the truth! Tables then voted together on which wine they believed they were drinking!
