Alanna fell in love with the environment when she worked for seven precious summers at Bruce Peninsula National Park/Fathom Five National Marine Park. Now, Alanna is responsible for the fund development program at Environmental Defence where she plays match-maker between people who care about and want to help protect the environment and change-makers that are capably defending the environment every day. Alanna has directed fundraising and communications at several prominent Canadian charities including Women’s College Hospital Foundation, Canadian Feed The Children and Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD Canada). Alanna has served on the Board of Directors of APRA Canada (Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement) and Parkdale Community Legal Services. Alanna has a Master of Management in Voluntary Sector Studies from McGill University and teaches Fundraising Campaigns in the Community Services program at Ryerson University. Alanna achieved the Certified Fund Raising Executive designation in 2003.
