About The Report:

The Regulatory Cooperation Council (RCC) is a relatively new collaborative effort between Canada and the United States to achieve greater regulatory alignment. While increased sharing and collaboration between the two countries could create a greater understanding about how toxic chemicals affect human health, there are concerns that Canadian toxics regulations could be weakened if regulations on both sides of the border are harmonized. Find out more about the RCC and what it could mean for toxic regulations in Canada in this backgrounder for media.
