
Birch Cove Beach, located on Lake Banook in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada, is a local favourite for both swimming and paddling. As one of the most popular lifeguarded beaches in the Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM), Birch Cove, in season, averages more than 200 visitors per day.

The beach is located in a friendly residential neighbourhood with close proximity to a number of Metro Transit bus stops. The beach is a component of Birch Cove Park, a beautiful 10-acre lakefront property with a mix of grassy areas and hardwood forest.
Birch Cove Park is a popular year-round destination. Trails along the lakefront and through the wooded area provide a haven for birdwatchers and dog walkers. Picnic tables, shaded by a variety of deciduous trees, perch on the hillside offering a great vantage point of the lake. Winter activities in the area include sledding and snowshoeing.
