On this election day, we hope you're voting. As with any election, there are lots of wacky things being said by our elected officials. In spite of it all, on the Canadian landscape, political engagement has seemingly spiked this election season.

But for Ontarians, this is just the first election of the year. Come October, we're hitting the polls again to pick from a list of leaders with some unclear policy platforms. Ontarians are rightly confused about whether politicians want to take away things like our new clean energy jobs, our greenspace, and the safety we've gained from toxic pesticides in our water. Even within the same political party there are different things being said by different people.

So we’d like to get to the bottom of this. We could use your help, too. You can ask elected officials to Come Clean. Come Clean on where they stand on the future of Ontario’s environment. Come Clean on what we can expect for our water supply, our green energy jobs, our protected green spaces, and our clean air. And with 13 million of us asking, perhaps we'll get some straight answers.

That’s what comeclean.ca is all about. We hope you'll check the site frequently for news and updates, to keep track of what our elected officials are saying, and to send them a message: it’s time to Come Clean. You can also find us and tweet at us your thoughts using hashtag #ComeCleanCA, or record a simple video message as part of  our 60/60 video campaign (details to come soon).

Come Clean is a project of Environmental Defence Canada, Ontario Sustainable Energy Association, CPAWS Wildlands League, Pembina Institute, Canadian Association of Physicians for the Environment, and Sierra Club Ontario. Visit the site and contact us if you are interested in becoming a partner.
