Town of Cobourg
Victoria Beach is on the shore of Lake Ontario, one of the Great Lakes and about an hour east of Toronto along the 401. A quiet respite from the big city, or a social hub for gathering friends and family, Cobourg Beach is a long white stretch of sand that draws thousands of visitors into a historic Lake Ontario town. In the 1870s Cobourg’s superior ozone levels drew wealthy Americans who took up summer residency. To this day Cobourg has retained its Upper Canada architecture and small-town charm along with the its beautiful beach. It also provides important habitat for many native flora and fauna.
