TORONTO, ON – On Wednesday, March 8, hundreds of Dim Sum lovers will gather at Toronto’s City Hall for the first ever Sustainable Dim Sum – A Tasty Evening with a Conscience.

Attendees will be able to sample various mouth-watering dim sum dishes created by some of the city’s best chefs with only local and sustainably sourced ingredients, and paired with drinks made by local and/or sustainable alcohol partners. Proceeds from the event will go to support Environmental Defence, a national environmental charity dedicated to protecting local food and water sources.

WHERE: Rotunda, Toronto City Hall, 100 Queen St. W, Toronto

WHAT: Sustainable Dim Sum is a first-of-its-kind event in Toronto that asks chefs to showcase their talents by creating dim sum dishes with only local and sustainable ingredients. All proceeds go to Environmental Defence.

WHO: Participating food, restaurant/catering and alcohol partners include: Cafe Belong, DaiLo, Daniel et Daniel, KanPai, Lake Inez, C-fu Foods, Saturday Dinette,Centennial College, Pork Ninjas, Hawthorne Food + Drink, Pearl Court, 401 Cidery Company, Beau’s All Natural Brewing Co., Brickworks Ciderhouse, Mill St Brewery, Muskoka Brewery, Walter Caesar, Live Green Toronto, Ocean Wise, Rowe Farms, Yorkshire Valley Farms, C-fu Foods and “Mock-tails” from George Brown College.
