Toronto, ON – Ontario has shown leadership in tackling climate change and needs to keep going in this direction. The province can continue to reduce carbon pollution by harnessing our tremendous potential to save energy and rapidly deploying renewable energy.
We were encouraged by last week’s commitment to add more renewable energy to the grid. Now the province has the opportunity to set aggressive energy conservation and renewable energy targets as it reviews its Long-Term Energy Plan.
We agree with the Environmental Commissioner that Ontario needs to keep moving forward its plan to reduce its global warming pollution.
