ABOUT ENVIRONMENTAL DEFENCE (environmentaldefence.ca): Environmental Defence is Canada’s most effective environmental action organization. We challenge, and inspire change in government, business and people to ensure a greener, healthier and prosperous life for all.
ABOUT THE JUST BEAUTIFUL CAMPAIGN: Environmental Defence’s Just Beautiful campaign urges Canada to ban the known-to-be-harmful ingredients in personal care products and demand full ingredient disclosure of all products on Canadian shelves. We’re asking the federal government to ban the worst substances and make sure we know what’s actually in our cosmetics so that we can all be Just Beautiful.
ABOUT THE JUST BEAUTIFUL COMPANY PLEDGE: Environmental Defence’s Just Beautiful Pledge exists so that consumers can make informed decisions about the products they buy and to promote the good work of manufacturers and retailers making and/or selling products that are free of Environmental Defence’s Toxic Ten ingredients. Environmental Defence has developed a set of benchmarks and tools to meet this pledge. The Toxic Ten list of ingredients to avoid, can be found here: http://environmentaldefence.ca/campaigns/just-beautiful/glossary
